Getting away to Park City to escape the heat and ride the alpine slide. You can imagine how much Carter LOVES the slide! Then eating dinners on Main street, So charming!Girls trip to Vegas for the NORDI SALE! aahhhh heaven, third best day of the year!
Giving Snowbird a visit :)Spending almost everyday with these three little faces keeping us busy, laughing, wet and tired!
Reg took Carter to a Bee's baseball game. They had so much fun, Carter won't stop talking about it. My sweetheart spending the night with me on the curb in the middle of SLC so we could get a front row seat to the 24th of July parade. We are still recovering from getting no sleep. It is a fun memory that we will never repeat.Swimming, Swimming, Swimming and more Swimming!
being wierd.
I am definatley a different kind of mom during these summer months. I haven't been able to get my little boy to bed on time once this summer, because we just can't stop playing. His diet is full of popsicles, movie popcorn, and sunny D. He is constantly getting sticky or dirty, and yes I admit I let him drink directly from the hose in the backyard. I don't feel too bad, actually not bad at all, because we are having a wonderful time this summer! (sorry for the picture overload, but I couldn't limit them, I love them all!)

Lagoon

We had the best summer day! We took all the little ones to Lagoon, and had a blast. I can't describe how much fun it was to watch Carter go on the rides. His thrill and excitement was unbarebly cute. The moment Bulgy the whale started to go his face and eyes lit up and he had so much FUN! He had me laughing so hard all day, The absolute best was watching him do the bumper cars. He thought he was driving and was so thrilled, but really he was just going around in circles because he wasn't quite strong enough to turn the wheel hard enough so it would where he wanted it to. He didn't know the differnce and was so very proud to be going in tiny quick circles. My sister then showed him with her arms what to do saying "turn hard Carter", so Carter lets go of the stearing wheal and does her crazy arm action of turning the wheel in mid air. I know you had to be there, but it was hilarious. I love my little boy, and love sharing wonderful days like this with him. He is such a ray of sunshine, and makes everything so fun. The entire way home he would not stop talking about all of the things he saw and did. Then he crashed. I think he'll sleep well tonight.

lovin summer!

I have been horrible at taking pics this summer, and we have been doing so many fun things! We just got back from a fun weekend at our friend's beachhouse near San Diego. I can't believe I didn't take a single pick, but thats probably because we were busy playing volleyball, boogie boarding, swimming, laying out, etc. It was a nice getaway, I missed my little Carter like crazy though. He had so much fun with his Nana and Baba he didn't even realize we were gone! This summer has been perfect so far! Every day we play outside, swim, play with friends or cousins, and go on lots of adventures! Carter is looking so cute with his bright blonde hair, and his tan skin. he absolutely loves all things summer, like going on bug hunts, eating popsicles on the porch, playing in the sprinklers, or just laying on the grass watching the animals. I forgot how much I love being up here during the summer months because it has been so long. I never want to leave! Well, we have alot more planned so I will hopefully be better at taking pics of it all.

The Big Apple

We just returned from an amazing girls trip to New York City. Coming home is full of bitter sweet feelings because it was soooo hard to be away from my sweet baby and husband, but at the same time we were having a blast there! Our trip consisted of Shopping, Sight Seeing, Eating AMAZING food, shopping, bike riding through Central Park, visiting the Today show, and...oh yes... more shopping! We did go see the broadway show Wicked on Saturday. That show was the best I have ever seen, I absolutely loved it! New York is an incredible place, I love the constant buzz of the city, but it was very refreshing to come home to some peace and quiet. We were going, going, going all day from eight till one in the morning every day, so it will be nice to rest and recoupe. I had a blast with my mom, sis and sis n law, and am so grateful to my mom for taking us! I will always remember our trip, It was such a refreshing break from momhood. I was, however, excited to come home and play mom and wife again! I am so lucky to have a husband that took such great care of my little guy while I was gone, they had a really good weekend together. I had a wonderful trip, made some great memories, and can't wait to go back!

Weekend Getaway

The Popsicle! mmmmm
Lets just start by saying I think my husband is trying to kill me with all the crazy hikes he is taking me on! I consider myself an outdoors person, but not on an extreme scale by any means! We just got home from an amazing weekend in St. George. We did so many fun things the first of which was hiking angels landing. This hike was beautiful and incredible, but a little scary at times because the last half mile is sheer cliffs straight down and you are climbing up a mountain holding on to chains. It was totally worth getting over any fear of heights I might have had once I reached the top. To look out over Zions that high up was absolutly incredible. The rest of the trip was spent playing outside, lots of swimming, lots of BBQ's, and spending wonderful time as a family. We all came home with good memories and sun tan lines!

Melt My Heart

Yesterday I was rocking my little guy trying to get him to sleep for a nap, when he looked up at my face, touched my cheek and said "Mama...Pretty Mama". I don't think I will ever forget that moment. I love my baby.

The Subway

Lunch time, not a bad spot!

Can you guess why it's called the subway?
Last weekend we took a trip to St. George with some of our friends. The main focus of our trip was to hike the Subway... a nine mile hike down a beautiful canyon. The trip was a blast, but the hike I have mixed feelings about. It was so fun at times, and so scary at others. We were hiking through FREEZING cold water almost all day, and at times had to get all the way in!!! Thank goodness for wetsuites! Besides the fact that the runoff water was so high the park workers highly recommended we don't go, and besides the fact my dad almost got stuck in a crack there would be no getting out of (thank goodness he lost 50 pounds!), and besides the fact it started raining in a canyon well known for flash floods, and besides the water was so cold my feet were aching! and besides the fact that it was the hardest hike I have ever done! It really was so much fun, and I am glad I was able to experience it. But I will never go again :)
