yeah right I'll put my baby on it's back!

I can't believe that shamu (or one that looks like shamu) killed it's trainer at Sea world yesterday! I have always LOVED killer whales and LOVED going to watch the shows at sea world, in fact we are planning to go there this weekend. I don't think I'll be letting Carter be the baby that climbs on the the back of the whale though! Not after yesterday's events. They make those whales look as if they are sweet and funny pets, but Hello! They are called KILLER whales! anyway, We are looking forward to a fun weekend in Sunny California. If anybody hasn't signed up for Disney's give a day get a day yet you should! Its so incredibly fast and easy, and then you can go to the happiest place on earth for free :)

Overnight

Or at least it seems like overnight my little baby turned into a toddler. I have been wondering how this happened so fast, and how I could have possibly been caught so off guard. All of the sudden my little guy sleeps through the entire night, every night, can understand everything that I say, says new words every day, and starts walking! It is wonderful that all of this is happening, but all at once is making it a little hard to realize my baby isn't so much a baby anymore. Oh well, there is not much I can do to stop time or make it slow down, so I guess my best bet is to just cherish every moment. I cannot even describe what a hoot Carter is, everyday is so much fun! We love our little toddler!

In Support of Valentines :)

I was just wondering why in the world everybody hates Valentines day. I mean really, is it so bad? So many people say that its a day full of disappointments, but maybe they have too high of expectations. I really don't know why girls claim to hate the day when their husband buys them flowers, of course chocolate is usually involved, and "I love you" is the common phrase of the day. whats not to like? I would add a little more of those things into everyday if I could. I love valentines, and can't wait for next year!

Regan is 27!

My Regan turned 27 last weekend! HAPPY BIRTHDAY you old man you!!!! The celebrations were really fun except for the fact that Reg is absolutely impossible to surprise. So his surprise b-day dinner was kind of a fluke, but either way it was a blast spending time with our closest friends and Regan's family.
For my record and whoever else is interested here is an update on my little boy.

- He took five steps today! Stood by himself for about a minute. wahoo!
- Still is the friendliest little bugger and says Hi and Bye to everyone he sees.

- Stopped nursing in the middle of the night last week... FINALLY!
- Is so smart... his new words are Elmo, Tigger, Pooh Bear, Wa Wa (water), Thank you, What's That, There you Go, Book, Fish, Shoe, Bear, Bad doggy (with the hand and finger action)and there are more but I just can't think of what they are right now.

- He went to the doctor last week for his one year. His height was 75%, his weight %14, and his head was %95!!! ha ha!

-He loves to grab things that are long and plastic and pretend they are phones. He says Hi over
and over again.
-He is such an amazing little boy and I am so proud of all that he is. I love him so much!

Happy Birthday Carter!

So I am a little behind because Carter's B-day was a week and a half ago, but ALOT has happened since then! Oh my heck I can't believe he is actually ONE! It is strange to think it has been a whole year since Carter was born. He has brought so much happiness into my life and so many others. It was so fun to take a whole day just to celebrate him! We had a fun birthday party for him in St. George. My family came, Reg's fam, and some of our very best friends. He had a Polka dot Party which was a blast planning! I think we might have gone a little over board on the party, but heck my little guy only turns one once right!!! The best part of the night came right after everybody watched a video we put together of his first year, and everybody clapped for him afterword. Carter knew everybody was clapping for him and got really proud and excited (you had to be there) it was so dang cute. I think he had a ton of fun! Thanks to everybody who came!My Sweet friend Mal Helped me a ton with the cake! We made all the polka dots! It was alot of fun!
And then Carter destroyed it.... well made a dent at least! We gave him the entire top cake. this was so funny to watch!

How lucky am I...

To be a mom to my sweet little guy. Maybe this is all coming on because his b day is coming up soon, and I have been thinking a lot about how precious this year has been, but man I love my little life with Carter and Reg. Today as I was putting a gazzilion blocks back in their box for about the tenth time (why we bought this toy I have no idea!!!) and I look over at the washer and my little guy is crouched down in front of it, so still, just watching the clothes go round. After a while he saw me and pointed to it as if to show me, and did his famous "oooohhhhh". We sat there for a few minutes just watching it. Having Carter around makes me notice and love the little things in life again. I love being a mom, and all the things that come with it. picking up blocks over and over, changing dirty diapers, early mornings, the good things are about a million to one bad thing (if there even are any).

Our Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! We traveled up to Salt Lake to spend the holidays with our family. It was fun seeing Carter experience his first Christmas, even though he is still a little young to understand all of the excitement. For the rest of the break we were in St. George and had a fun time playing tennis, swimming, losing in lots of Cranium, and enjoying the time we were able to spend with friends and family. I took down my tree a couple days ago :(..... how many days until Christmas comes back?
